SMBC Aero Engine Lease (SAEL) announces that Don Biocca has joined SAEL as SVP Americas as of 19 September 2022.
Don has over 20 years of experience in aircraft engine leasing and prior to joining SAEL Don held various sales and marketing roles at Aercap Engines and GECAS Engine Leasing.
Don takes over from Andrew Moore who will take a well-deserved retirement at the end of October 2022, after covering the Americas for 9 years and helping grow SAEL from its inception.
Andrew will be pursuing his personal interests but plans to stay involved in aviation in particular the regional sector. The entire SAEL team wishes him all the best in his next adventure and extend him many thanks for all his contributions to the company. “SAEL has achieved a strong position in the Americas along with a solid market reputation. SAEL owes it to Andrew and his passionate approach and dedication to his customers. We will miss Andrew and whilst there is some sadness to say goodbye, we are all happy for Andrew who, after over 40 years in aviation, will take time for himself and his family,” said Roger Welaratne.
