Niall joined SMBC Aero Engine Lease in January 2023 and is responsible for Trading activities.

Prior to joining SMBC Aero Engine Lease, he was based in Singapore as SVP Risk Management. He had responsibility for the Asia Pacific Region at Aercap having held the equivalent position at GECAS prior to the acquisition.

Immediately prior to that he worked with PK AirFinance on debt origination; underwriting deals for aircraft, spare engines and helicopters. He began his career at SES before going on to spend ten years in commercial roles in the GECAS Engine Leasing team.

He has over 20 years aviation finance experience having worked on roles in Risk, Commercial and Portfolio Management. He holds an MBA and Bachelors Degree in Business Studies.
