Richard joined SMBC Aero Engine Lease ("SAEL") in 2018 as Vice President of Technical and is mainly responsible for wide-body-engine types.

Prior to joining SAEL, Richard’s held positions with GE Aviation as Powerplant Engineer for the GE90 engine type.  Royal Aero as a Propulsion Engineer working with the lessor community and company assets and AerFin as Powerplant Manager involved with short and long-term leasing and all technical management of a wide variety company owned assets.

Richard has a Bachelor of Science from the University of South Wales in Aeronautical Engineering and holds a keen interest in aviation.
