Yuki Nishi joined SMBC Aero Engine Lease (SAEL) in April 2019. As CFO, he is responsible for middle/back functions of SAEL including Strategy Planning, Funding, Accounting & Tax, HR, Compliance and IR.
He began his career in 2007 when he joined Sumitomo Mitsui Finance and Leasing Company (SMFL). He belonged to JOLCO (Japanese Operating Lease with Call Option) Origination Team and arranged more than twenty aircraft JOLCO transactions with several airlines.
In 2012 he moved to New York and started working for SMBC Leasing and Finance. He belonged to Marketing Team and arranged several US Synthetic Lease and US Tax Lease for US subsidiaries of Japanese Corporations.
In 2015 he returned to SMFL Tokyo Head Quarter. He belonged to Transportation Business Planning Dept. and he was responsible for coordination among SMBC Aviation Capital (SMBCAC) and its Shareholders (SMFL/Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation/Sumitomo Corp). He worked on various project including organization/procedure change and new products including deal with capital market and business collaboration. He was project leader of SMFL’s participation into aircraft engine leasing business through acquisition of 65% of shares into SAEL.
